We delivered our packet last June 16 on Vermont Service Center and our check was cleared last June 23, 2011 and we received our NOA1 copy last June 25, 2011. As we are checking our case status on USCIS homepage, it says our case were not found. How long can they able to encode it in their system?

Thanks!

Maybe in a few weeks. this is the longest part of the process so u must be patient. U'll be waiting at least 4 months. I know it feels good to just be able to look at it on their website but it'll update soon.

It can take 2-3 weeks to appear but even once it is loaded it will not necessarily show what is happening. Many cases show "Initial Review" even after they have been approved so you can't rely on it as an accurate status report. You may be able to follow the status accurately in your case but just letting you know not to get worried unnecessarily if it doesn't move.

Good luck with your petition.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

We couldn't check our case status until the day it actually was approved. Calling USCIS before that and asking to fix that didn't help either :bonk:

They received my case on April 7th but I was not able to check my status until April 17th which was 10 days. Unfortunately you're petition was sent closer to a government holiday so it might take a few extra days to update the website. Just keep checking. As some said they weren't able to check it the entire process and some didn't even get an update.

I personally didn't find the website that useful. It gave me something to soothe the nerves knowing our case was in the system. For me, the dates never changed and there was no update until NOA 2. It just didn't do anything or say anything new until then. I must have read the box that read "initial review" a hundred times.

On a positive note, my case status on the website was updated immediately upon the email/text I received that said my application was approved.

We sent our papperwork in at the end of May, and like you have been looking for some kind of posting on Govt web site. I have actually called twice , the second time got a very nice woman who told me that the system has been down for some time, and she doesnt believe it will be fixed anytime soon. She recommended to call to get updates.

Good Luck
