The operator /can/ give it to you. Call and ask as many times as you need to till you get an operator who will.

Are you the USC--if not, have your husband call

Yes I am the USC.! So I should just call back after the holiday and see if I can get someone to give it to me.. then?

Yes--call back and they will give you the number, and then you can use the NVC payment portal to pay for the AOS ($88), and then you will get an email from NVC with the I-3032 instructions, and after you file it, you can then pay the IV fee ($404), and you will be on your way. The whole payment process should just take a week or two if you do everything electronically from your bank account.

Thanks so much for your help! I will call on Tuesday so I can get things going! :) I am planning on just scanning the Choice of Agent that my husband sent signed to me.. do you think its going to be a problem that we use the same email even though NVC already knows this? sorry for all these ?s I hope im not a bother..

I have no clue on the email question--wouldn't think it would matter, but just ask them, and if it does, setting up a second email account is a snap--and free of course

Hi Sashiku01,

Regarding the email address issue (sharing same email):

Sharing the same email address should not be an issue/problem at all. Because, all information/correspondence from NVC is sent to ALL parties involved anyway, even if you have a lawyer or representative. So, it doesn't really matter.

Additionally, in some posts you will see people stress the point of sending something from a specific email address (meaning the USC for some things or the Significant Other for other things). Example: "DS-3032 choice of agent or DS-230 should be sent from immigrant's email address" and so on.

Actually, it doesn't matter at all. I have confirmed this with NVC + supervisors several times. (As well I practiced it during our process). All NVC needs and is concerned about is the information they have asked for, that the appropriate forms have been filled out completely and signed by the appropriate party, and that the required civil documents have been provided. NVC DOES NOT look at whose email certain docs are sent from. They only ensure the emails received are from legitimate email addresses which were submitted to them by petitioner/beneficiary/third party choice of agent (if applicable).

Best Wishes and Good Luck,

As soon as I got ahold of my Case number I wanted to get my IIN, I tried calling them and they couldn't give it to me... But then I receive my IIN through the email NVC sends you, you just have to wait. :)
