Okay.. the NVC has now recieved all our paperwork and is in the process of reviewing it. Im thinking that this is going to take several weeks, judging by other peoples timelines....

My question is, once they forward the paperwork to the Embassy do they notify me?, or do I need to phone them.

Or.. do I find out by getting a package from the Embassy once it is there ?

Many Thanks

:D

You are correct that your case should be completed in a few weeks. I called them and checked on my staus once a week. I found out about my completion and case being forwarded to the embassy before I got an offical letter from them via snail mail.

Good luck on the remainder of your journey.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Thanks for your reply... so you do get an letter from the NVC when you case has been forwarded to the embassy?.. I assume that this letter goes to the nominated agent ?

Yes,the NVC will send off a letter and it will have a case number included for reference. The letter also will indicate the approximate date the petition was forwarded to the embassy. I have heard different stories but in my case it took approximately three weeks, receiving the NVC letter on the fourth week.

Yes, NVC will mail the petitioner/choice of agent a letter confirming that the case was forwarded to the Embassy/Consulate. Plus you can also check the status by phoning NVC. It appears to me that your case will be completed between 3rd and 4th week of this month.
