That's a tough one to call. She's a DA1 here ...Dental asst. ...she took that job for the fact work here is limited (we are in a remote village of pop. 2000 atm) but when we get back to civilization next summer (her contract is up then) we will see if she goes for the vet thing, or the dental hygienist. She's taking 6 college credits (two classes) a semester here (online through Univ. of Alaska) and so far she's done her biology, English 111 and 212, Spanish, and some other #######...not exactly sure of all the classes she's took now.

So now she has two options...the vet thing or the dental hygienist. Her work here is paying for the classes and will foot the bill for most of the dental hygienist classes (two year course) when we get back to civilization (Wasilla/Big Lake area) but a vet hospital in Palmer, AK wants her to practice there and they offered to foot her bill for that route.

ATM she's out doing me.

Options are a great thing! I say she go for whatever is going to make her more qualified and earn the most money, but that's just me.

but...you're not one of those guys that gets all weird if your wife earns more than you do, are you? Hope not because ( at least where I live) vets ( and dentists) make a fortune.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

She's going to have to work full time to earn as much as me. I can fly to work up north and work 2 and 2's ..two weeks on, and two off and make a nice sum. That gives me six months of fck off time. Right now I'm living off my pers I drew out so I get to sleep in while she has to get up and go to work...lol..fk she hates that. It's life. The suck part is that when I work remote like up on the slope, is I used to take my time off and travel....RUB country's, Phillipines, Thailand, etc... and now those days are over with. This monogamous thing is more work than I thought it would be.

btw, your ex air force turned medical aren't you?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Therefore DOMA is meaningless and should not be hard to do away with. Then the States could work on providing equal marriage rights to homosexuals as they currently provide to heterosexuals. Everyone wins except the bigots.

I agree with you on DOMA. It's a horrible law and violates the full faith and credit clause in the constitution.

who uses a vibrator in the middle of the day? I'd be lying if I said I don't own sex toys but daytime masturbation is not my thing.

now let's get back to the subject of the thread. I saw a photo of the guys and they look like a cute couple. just sayin.

####### are you doing here? Your supposed to be having sex with a hot rocket scientist.

Kids these days... If I was having sex with a hot rocket scientist (and her sister), I would still be having at it(viagra ftw). Your rocket scientist seems to be lacking in the stamina dept. He must be one of those pretty boyz. :hehe:

I actually said hot sex with a rocket scientist. I made dinner and now he's on a work call because they're in the end stages of developing a new product. Also, I will pass on giving you a call. I'm not into cheap anything or pickup trucks.

I grew up in a small town only about 10 miles from Kentucky. I went to school with people like that and people who ended up like that. It's just not for me.

eta: I do own a truck but it was purchased specifically for pulling a boat trailer. I've drove it maybe 15-20 times in the 2.5 years I've had it. Now it just sits in the garage at my old house because I don't live there anymore.
