#######? oh well, lets see if the priority is shifted back in the fall.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

*back on topic...

Whatever...this guy willingly broke the laws of the United States of America and should be imprisoned and deported ASAP!

Assuming he broke a law that allows for imprisonment, then perhaps. Please share with us such a law that carries criminal penalties for the convicted.

idk why...but, i got a chuckle outta that.

A gay dancer? Huh... I hate stereotyping but yeah, he can probably teach you a thing or two on the dance floor. Fabulous.

and....LOL

Most women in the RUB country's have a college degree...my wife has a PhD in veterinary medicine. In fact the number of college educated women in Russia far out number the ones in the US per capita...it's not even close. Walmart, Taco Bell and MTV vs engineers, doctors, etc..

.....

Their education is impressive [ if what you say is true] and we certainly need more engineers, doctors, scientists and multilinguals here....It's just such a shame there appears [ as I don't know all the visas available to RUBers] no other way they can get here than the marraige...? I don't mean that to sound the way it does...but how else to put it?

Why are our corporations and research labs, etc not dishing out research and employment visas to them?

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

too late to edit. I tried to answer my own question by looking up the equivalancy degree ....USA v FSU. For some reason in most cases, it seems it's not an equivilant degree. Mystery for me solved.

That may be the case for the cannery factories and some places...but it's my experience that scientists with verifiable and equivilant quals are ushered in. ....Come to think of it, I've seen that 1st hand.

The degrees from any country aren't considered "even with the US degree's". Any Canadian veterinarian , European...wherever has to pass English Tuefell (two years) classes and then apprentice before they are even allowed to "test" to get their rights to practice medicine.

It's the law of this country, and it's a good one imo.

I don't doubt the same goes for doctors.

Is a good law. I agree with you on that. :)

That's a tough one to call. She's a DA1 here ...Dental asst. ...she took that job for the fact work here is limited (we are in a remote village of pop. 2000 atm) but when we get back to civilization next summer (her contract is up then) we will see if she goes for the vet thing, or the dental hygienist. She's taking 6 college credits (two classes) a semester here (online through Univ. of Alaska) and so far she's done her biology, English 111 and 212, Spanish, and some other #######...not exactly sure of all the classes she's took now.

So now she has two options...the vet thing or the dental hygienist. Her work here is paying for the classes and will foot the bill for most of the dental hygienist classes (two year course) when we get back to civilization (Wasilla/Big Lake area) but a vet hospital in Palmer, AK wants her to practice there and they offered to foot her bill for that route.

ATM she's out doing me.
