Hi. Do you have a timeline already? It is a guide that will help you through out the whole process.

Do you have a NOA1 (form I-130) receipt already? If not then wait for it. It will take a few days.

Since you are applying for K3, once you have your NOA1 you can submit form I-129f.

I had NOA2 of both petitions after 3 months.

Good luck! :star:

NVC time i think depends on when are they going to start working on our case. Then we are going to submit other requirements to them. That too depends on how fast you do your part. Right now we are still waiting for our case number. Case number means maybe they are working on it. Do you already have your case number? They said we need to keep calling NVC to know that.

I hope NVC time will not take 2 months for us. I am already missing someone

Keep in mind the NVC is only a mail stop for a K3 petition, all the NVC does for K visas (K1 and K3) is assign a case number and send it to the appropriate overseas post. If you are submitting fees and documents to the NVC, then you are on the CR-1 visa path.

Hi Ryan H. What do you mean by submitting fees and documents to the NVC?

Are these the following:

DS-3032

I-864 Bill

IV Bill

and DS230

If supposing we want to go on with K3 (since we think K3 is faster than CR-1) what are we going to do next after we receive our case number?

:help:

You need to find out if the NVC administratively closed the K3 or sent it to the Embassy in Manila. If they administratively closed the K3, they made the choice for you. If they sent the K3 petition to the Embassy, then sit on NVC correspondence for now and wait until the K3 file arrives at the IV unit in Manila and the IV unit subsequently opens the file. Once the file is opened at the Embassy, you will need to follow these instructions.

Is sorta hard to answer this stuff, it smells like you are dual-path K-3/CR-1, but without any timeline at http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=110005 ?? I would not think to answer.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thanks But what exactly is dual path???

It means you have two live petitions at NVC. Call and ask if you do. If you don't, then you're on the CR1 path. Forget about K3. If you do have two live petitions (I-129F arrived first and was not administratively closed) then you may choose which path to follow.
