Thanks Sharky,

Yeah, here the last Oath of the year is on the 16th. I guess judges and USCIS people don't work the day before Christmas or the day before New Year's Eve. So two weeks left for me, I don't see myself getting oath for this coming Friday.

Boilermaker & Lili,

Appreciate the info in the other post I did. Yeah I've been spending this morning coming to terms with the fact that the chances of me getting my oath ceremony before Jan 10th is practically zero now. It's better that I accept this then wake up every morning angry and stressed, especially when I've done everything I can do at this point.

As to your last comment Lili, there is no return for me. Those tickets were one way, and my return to the US is on hold for the foreseeable future, hence the urgency of the whole situation for me. I have to delay everything that I was planning on starting in another country because USCIS couldn't process my application within the appropriate timelines.

If it was anything else I would just forget about it until i got the notice, because there would be no urgency involved.

Understand why I have been so stressed now?

Hi Sharky, I only know its the last one of the year according to the list of Oath days for LA that I found online. Not sure what the schedule is like for other places. Good luck because a letter may still be sent out to you!!

And Shakil - yes, my oath ceremony will take place in Montebello , but according to my letter, I have to report by 1.00 pm...I'm sure its the same ceremony! woo hoo! I probably won't get to do any paperwork though till after New Year's as I'm hoping to get on a plane a few days later for Atlanta and Xmas...

Thanks for the good wishes guys, but don't forget the others waiting who had N400 dates around the same time: Boilermaker and loveforver etc.. I wish the same good luck to those guys. Well it's a Monday after an insanely long weekend when no one in USCIS worked so HOPEFULLY they will get their arses in gear this week and do something about all of us people still waiting.

Cardamom's comment has worried me somewhat though, how did you know it was the last oath ceremony of the year? and it was only December 15th? I'm worrying that even if I was approved tomorrow that the oath ceremony wouldn't even be able to take place in December

Like I need to worry more! I can see me having to pushback three flights out of the country at this rate..... :blink:

27 Aug 2009 mailed RoC documents and check (GC expires 09/21/09)

28 Aug 2009: NOA receipt date - received letter in mail on Sept 1 2009 (from ESC)

25 Sept 2009: Biometrics appt - quick, easy...done

01 Oct 2009: Green Card approval - Letter of Approval received Oct 5, 2009 from CSC 06 Oct 2009: Perm GC in mail; Resident since 21 Sept 2007

Adjustment of Status:

1 May 2007 Mailed AoS package:

9 May 2007 NoA date [day 6] 15 May NoA for Biometrics [day 12]

I'm concerned that certain elements in my applications will compicate my process, so I've been giving you good vibes hoping that it would help me when my time comes. I'm glad it's all worked out, and hopefully you can get your passport by the time of your trip!

I'm completed. My interview was yesterday and I took my oath yesterday.

well today I woke up at 5am (unusual for me) to hear my phone tweet a text, unusual at 5.30. I didn't bother to check it and went bleary eyed to my laptop. When I opened my email I had to look twice:

Your Case Status: Oath Ceremony

On November 29, 2011, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

it seems that when you finally stop worrying, things happen!!!!

I know that I will receive a letter hopefully in the next day or so telling me the actual DATE of the ceremony, and I can only hope this is still before January 10th.

keep your fingers crossed for me guys!
