Hi all,

I took my test last week (Tues, Oct 25th) and I passed/I got the form with the box saying "congratulations...you've been approved" and I saw the IO stamp a big "approved" on the file...but when I check my case status update on the USCIS site, it shows that I'm still on "interview" stage...very frustrating!

How long does it take normally for them to update the case status?

For those folks who already have their oath date, would love to know, when you got your oath date letter (how many weeks after the interview)?

Also Cardamom did they make you sign your photographs? I never did.

I would suggest going back a few pages on this thread to find out those details. I really wouldn't worry too much on the online updates saying interview stage, mine still says scheduled for interview and I had my N400 interview on October 6th.... It's not that accurate to be honest.

Hgill, don't want you to worry but I thought the signatures on the pics was mandatory, strange they didn't request that! Still you got the approved stamp which was more than I got. I think as far as timelines after the N400 interview to oath ceremony, obviously dates vary but you're probably looking at around a 4-6 weeks, if you're lucky sooner, if you're not LATER lol

difficult to say, you just gotta wait... that's the hardest part

Thanks Sharky for making me feel better ! I think you're right about the online system (though why have one if it is so slow/inaccurate?)

Anyway, hgill - I did NOT sign my photos; in fact I carried photos and originals and all sorts of stuff to the interview and I wasn't asked to show anything. My interview letter only "suggested" I bring photos.

I wish I'd been a bit pushier re. finding out info about my oath date. The IO did mumble to me " you will get a letter in the mail shortly with an oath date" and I asked how soon and he said again "oh, pretty shortly".

You know, this is the last phase in this amazingly long process and I'm just not going to stress about it. I can still exit and enter the country, work, etc. USCIS puts me through this every single time and I'm just annoyed with wondering what is going on. If you'd seen how they tossed our files around in their offices - it amazes me more files have not been lost!!

After the test the IO told me my oath will be in 3-4 weeks. 2 weeks after the test i got the letter and the oath was exactly 4 weeks after the test and interview date. but philly seems to be moving at a steady speed. But as for me i had to reschedule grrrrr.

I got the interview a day before you and still no news. I called CS yesterday.... the rep. gave me the speech that I have to wait 90 days. I told the rep i was worried that something has been sent and wasn't delivered. She said, let me check... then came back with the 120 rule, etc. ....

Here there are only 6 Oath Ceremony dates left for 2011.

Did you pass you green card anniversary time also? I know some people have to wait beacuse they have to waith till they reach their anniv. date....

I do have a timeline sort of.... I have flights booked out of the country Jan 10th, I foolishly thought that as my N400 interview was on October 6th that would be PLENTY of time, lol so that's why I'm a little concerned...

My GC anniversary date was Oct 12th so in theory I should be in line to be given an oath, but according to the fantastic USCIS system, my case is currently "with the officer".... ####### that means I have no idea.

Anyhow I feel for others waiting too, I guess it is helpful if all of us still waiting doesn't try to think too much about what is going on, why it is happening etc..

That's easy to say of course but worrying isn't gonna help move it along is it? Boilermaker if you can't come in to make an infopass appointment in person, I would really be adamant on the phone (the 1 800 number) and say specifically you want to talk to a level 2 officer. They will be reluctant to pass it on but they have to if you are persistent...

I have a good feeling about this week, I think a lot of the people waiting for oath dates will get them.... fingers crossed for everyone!
