and not to be negative Aminesbaby but they may just tell you the same thing at an infopass interview? If they do tell you more information please post it here because then I'm gonna arrange one too

and my status update shows the same: "your scheduled for an interview etc"

So have you gotten anything that actually said you were approved yet? Like we'd be ok waiting forever for the oath ceremony (because that's the normal for the KC office anyway), but waiting around for just the approval is driving me crazy!

strangely enough that hasn't bothered me lol! I was given the form that had the box ticked "for further review", but I passed the test and everything else was fine so I just guessed the IO ticked that box because my anniversary was the week after... HOWEVER I have read some applicants be in the same position and have the "congrats, we are recommending you for approval"!

and so I refer back to the original statement "USCIS makes no sense"!

Do you guys have a box checked.....'to contact about application, contact officer (last name)" in the Interview Results document? ...... I was also given the "can't make decision at this point". I guess that since i have that box checked, I could just mail questions to IO. It doesn't specify anything regarding what can/cannot be asked.

Aminesbaby,

When you got given the form at the end of the N400 interview, what box was ticked? and did the IO write any comments on it?

He wrote "for further review" on mine, what the hell that means I have no idea, at the time I thought that was standard meaning it was gonna be checked over by a supervisor and approved but now I wonder?

Sugarz,

That's WAY too close to have a flight booked. I fly out in January and I'm beginning to worry that I won't have my passport by THEN, so to have a flight booked 3 weeks after your interview and think you can have the oath and passport is really asking too much i would say. Not sure about getting oaths in other states, maybe someone else can help you with that.

Hi sharky, I am getting a little disappointed in us not having received the oath letters yet. Everyone else in the forum is getting oath letters left and right. Sigh. I just want yo be done.

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

I know Lili, me too! but what can we do? that's what Aminesbaby was saying, it's the not knowing part and wondering if your case is just sitting on a desk somewhere. God I thought, after going through 5 years of this, that I wouldn't feel like this AFTER the N400 interview..

Patient yes that is quick but USCIS timelines and processing have no "rhyme or reason" so based on that I would never have a flight so close to an interview date. I'm thinking of maybe trying what Boilermaker is thinking about and writing a quick letter to the IO at Seattle USCIS, what other options are there?

You could try an infopass. Explain to them that you haven't heard anything and would like an update. If you can afford to take some time off from work, go for it.

I am considering doing the same thing but I am trying to hold off until November. Patience is just not my forte. :bonk:

yeah and getting time off work wouldn't be a problem, but i just think I'm gonna hear the same thing that a customer service rep told me a few days ago: "you have 90 days to wait etc etc.", I really don't think I would get any information that would make a difference, although I'd LOVE to be proven wrong. I TOO just want to have that US passport in my hands, this should have been the easy part

:(

I know...... Trinidad is so back wards that it's taking a long time for trini's to get a new machine readable passport (like 1yr). lucky for me they are giving extentions on expired passports. so i might just luck out, gotta leave phiily 4 am to head to ny (trinidad embassy) to be in line for 6:30 (no fun for me)
