Does everyone receives a yellow letter or its just for some people. I received my interview letter which is on Oct 19th.

Only SOME people receive the yellow letter... I never did :)

My status got changed to "Scheduled for Interview" since 9/7 but haven't got actual letter yet.

Does anyone take that long? I'm wondering if it gets lost in the mail.

Most likely that they didn't mail the actual letter until 9/9, which was Fri... so there's the weekend. You should be able to receive it this coming week :) Goodluck!

Thanks, no worries. The SF office has been moving extremely fast. I'm sure it won't be long now. A July filer in SF is going to the ceremony next week. Ours will most likely be the end of October.

I was in "Scheduled for Interview" status about 2 weeks ago but was never received a notice in the mail.

So I called USCIS about my notice and suddently it changed back to "Placed in line for Interview" status.

It's like my status is moving backward. Does anyone have a similiar issue?

I also received a yellow paper asking me to bring my State ID. I think i got mine because I got married in May 2011 and my maiden name is still on my green card, but my N-400 app is in my married name.

Just got back from my interview. In and out in around 10 minutes. The IO was somewhat strict and serious. However I did not have any trouble and was recommended for approval.

She said I should get a letter in the mail in few weeks with the time and date for the oath cermeony, which she said should be around end of Nov. I am hoping its sooner since they do oaths every Friday at my field office.

I'll post once I get my oath date.

No updates yet, in fact the date on USCIS is still from when they scheduled our interview :( So we are anxiously awaiting October 4th for the 3 year anniversary to see if we get approved then. Surely if there was an issue they would send an RFE already right-and not wait til 3 year.

Hi Guys,

Well after an excruciating 55 days of waiting of any kind of update, :dance: I received a YELLOW LETTER dated 9/21/11 on 9/24/11. It just states to bring my ID but I'm thankful for the communication. I thought USCIS forgot about me, lol.

Now, back to waiting for my interview letter... #patiently :yes:
