Hey everybody,

Over 30 days passed when my husband got fingerprinted and still no Interview letter... This drives me crazy :(

On the USCIS page still the same information... ''On August 10, 2011, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. ''

Why it's taking so long... :(

thanks huniebee.. Washington is running extremely busy i guess. I hope you get your letter soon.. you are in line to be scheduled.. right? Did you try calling the 800 number.. i know it is useless but i called them 3-4 times.. just to ask them when will the interview be scheduled.. i know they can't actually do anything.. only one time i spoke to a second level guys .. an IO.. who told me.. he doesn't have any updates.. it doesn't hurt to call.. so call them..

I was in the same boat as you, until yesterday. My status was in line for interview since August 8th. It seems certain locations take longer time between the two status updates (in line for interview and interview scheduled).

I have a question about what to bring to my interview which is on 9/23.

I have been a college student for the past 4 years. My last trip outside the US lasted for 4 months and I just got back on July.

I dont not have any IRS transcripts because I have not worked, I only went to school full time, including summers.

Not sure what sould I bring, any suggestions?

You can take a letter showing you've been a full time student for X semesters which should suffice. You can get one from the registrar's office (I beleive).

I wouldn't worry about the IRS taxes - if you did not work, then there shouldn't be any records against you (as in an employer submitted tax information for you and you never filed taxes for)...

As for the trip - make sure you take your passport with you to show entry/exit stamps if the IO asks for it...

My husband had his interview in San Francisco yesterday. It was very fast, only inside about 30 mins in total. Was asked 6 basic questions, what is the supreme law of the land? Who is the head of the executive branch, etc. Where he struggled was on the dates of everything (I filled out all of his paperwork)when we traveled out of the country. He was also asked why I sometimes traveled without him or had slightly different dates in my passport and he just said because I travel on business.

So all in all, very easy. He was recommended for approval and the IO said "Welcome to the USA". She advised his Oath ceremony will be "in the next few months" but I am hoping it is sooner. There is a ceremony at the end of September, end of October, and the beginning of November. I think the end of October is more realistic at this point.

All San Francisco ceremonies are done at this theatre in oakland and they list the dates on their website. One of the June filers is scheduled for the Sept 27th date. http://www.paramounttheatre.com/
