Hi, can someone please update my timeline info....I'm in there twice for some reason--the correct one is my local field office is San Francisco (I just had to do my fingerprinting at an ASC in Oakland).

Here is my data:

Sent: 7/13/11

Check cashed: 7/19/11

NOA: 7/19/11

FP: 8/29/11 but did EF 8/16/11

Yesterday (8/26) afternoon I received an email update that we were placed in line for interviewing.....then in the evening we got the email update that the interview has been scheduled and so we're just waiting for the interview letter to arrive.

Hi all,

I did mt FP 3 weeks ago, but my online status still stayes the same in initial review. I see most of the people here had their status changed to inline for interview scheduling within few days.

Did anyone had the same thing?

I am in the same situation. I did my FP almost a month ago, online status still says initial review. I have even received the yellow letter for the list of document to bring to the interview. Called them multiple times, no help but verified that both FP and namecheck were both done.

My guess, based on reading posts in this forum and other forums, is that some people won't get their status update until close to interview schedule and then the status suddenly changes from "initial review" to "in line for interview schedule" to "interview scheduled" within a couple hours. But this is only my wild guess, and, if true they select people to go through this anxiety in a complete random fashion.

I keep hearing about some yellow paper that people get in the mail. What is that and when do you receive it? Along with the FP letter I got a paper that tells me which documents to bring to the interview.

The same thing happened to me this morning so I guess I'll be looking for the yellow interview letter in the post sometime soon :thumbs:

By the way, I called FBI customer service and they said that they completed the background check and sent that information back to USCIS on the same day.
