I had my FP done on Aug 17 and my status was changed on Aug 19. It says that I have been scheduled for an interview and should expect a letter with date and place within 14 days.

It can be 2 days or a week. I've noticed in the past that a lot of people tend to get a change in status on the same day - so it looks like sometimes the system automatically kicks in and moves cases to the next step.

Give it a few more days since moving your case to "placed in line for interview" doesn't mean it will be fast. For me, I've been in that status for a while now and I don't expect to receive an update until the first week of September because historically that's how the Houston District Office timelines are...

Now if it is correct and as far as I know Newark does hold same day oath, is it too early for you(thetreble) because of anniversary(3/5 years) or there is something else?

UPDATE: After reviewing closely your dates I realized that in no way there is interview might be scheduled at this time...sorry for confusion ))))

You should contact Customer Service ASAP. They ask you to contact them if you don't receive the letter within 14 days from the date you received the email / txt msg.

My application was placed in line for an interview on 08/01.. Still waiting for my interview letter :(

Since all of you did EF.. in mid of August.. did any of you get a status change to inline or receive a letter for interview?

12/19/06 Interview letter Issued!

12/26/06 Interview Notice Received!

02/13/07 Interview

08/25/08 Filed Writ of Mandamus (Law Suit) against USCIS, DOS, FBI

09/16/08 Application Approved (IR6)

09/22/08 Card Production Ordered

09/23/08 Welcome Notice Received

09/29/08 10 YR. GC Received!

N-400

07/18/11 N-400 Sent (Overnight) UPS

07/19/11 N-400 Received

08/23/11 Case status changed - FP letter sent

08/26/11 Fingerprint notice received in mail

11/18/11 N-445 Oath letter received

It may still be too early for an interview. I bet you will hear something within two weeks. It also depends on your local office.

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Not yet. On the 11th I received a msg that I was in-line for scheduling. My LPR anniversary is not until mid October, anyway. I hope i get interview after that, otherwise I'll receive an RFE.

Thanks Lili.. I am hoping to get the letter tomorrow and get the EF tomorrow.. My 3 years will be up on Sept 16th.. by my calculations even if I do an EF right now, i will still get an interview after my 3 year anniversary.. I know my office doesn't do Oath at interview so hopefully I'll be out of this process by end of November..
