Received our interview letter yesterday, 8/11! Interview is 9/13 in San Francisco. Can someone update my timeline for me?! :D

Anyway I was just wondering, what if I can't provide a State ID or Driver's license during the interview? Will there be any issuesl?

I think the purpose is to establish with two different identification forms that you are who you claim you are... probably your passport from your country will do the trick as long as its valid...

I was applying for a DL several months ago but they told me I can't use my GC as a proof of identity because I didn't update it when I was 14. So I just decided to apply for citizenship.

I think the purpose is to establish with two different identification forms that you are who you claim you are... probably your passport from your country will do the trick as long as its valid...

Yeah, I was wondering about the same today... is it very important to have the State (that you currently reside) drivers license?.. and... is it possible to have Drivers license issued by one State and the State ID by another state....?

We received fingerprints scheduled for next week. But we walked in early this week to get fingerprinted. The guy at service center , at first wanted to know why we are coming in early. Today We found out that we placed in line for an interview. How long does that normally take?

We went for early fingerprints today! In-and-out in 5 minutes. Went so quick, we decided to hit the DMV for a bureaucratic 2-for! :hehe:

We got the fp letter today. scheduled for 8/29/11. We're going to try for an early walk-in at the Oakland office---couldn't figure out from past posts if anyone was ever successful so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope for the best! Also, can you please add in that my check was cashed on 7/19/11. Thanks!

Did you go an early walk-in fp? Did they give you any problems with coming in early or not?

I have been trying to find reviews for early walk-in in Seattle but no luck. :(

Most locations will accept walk-ins as long as they are not busy. If you go there and the location if full, I advise not to get in and try another time. This of course assumes that you live near by that you can make a couple of trips.

In my experience - they are never busy and they always accommodate walk-ins.

This is what I did - I peeked inside and found that there aren't many people. Walked right up to the officer and said "I am here for a biometrics" and nothing else. I didn't want to point out the fact that I am early. If they notice the date and ask me about being early - I was prepared to say that I may be traveling during that week out of the state. The officer did not even bother to point it out and just checked my hands/fingers to make sure there are no scratches or cuts and stamped my FP notice, asked me to fill out a form and return to the desk. I did that and got a number (which was the next one in line) and completed my biometrics.

I suggest you do the same if you are really anxious to finish early.

Thanks! I don't live close by the office unfortunately. I just happen to have a flex day the week prior so I'd rather go then than have to take some time off. Every time that I went to the Seattle office, they always are busy. I just would hate to make the drive (an hour one way) to just be told to get back on my appt day. Oh well, I was hoping Sharky had some insight on that particular office. :)
