Realistic AOS from K1 Time Frames

Hello all,

We are trying to decide if it's "worth it" (ie: my $360) to apply for advance parole with our I485 documents to adjust status from a K1 visa post marriage. We'd like to travel out of the country in the fall & realize the AP would be returned within 60 days or so. However, what is the "realistic" time frame to receive his green card which I understand would allow us to travel across US borders freely? We know there are no guarantees but was curious about others recent experiences. Thanks much, Jenifer

AP is free when applied for with AOS.

It is a one off fee of 1070$. EAD and AP are included in this. You only have to pay the fee for AP/EAD if you are applying before you file AOS.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

The fee for AP and EAD are WAIVED when you send the documents with AOS. AOS is $1070 and you can send EAD and AP at the same time and it will waive the fee for those. They aren't "included" in the AOS fee, the fees for them are just waived.
