I like how regardless to how many people there are in a multicab there is always room for one more. Also seeing rice served at McDonalds was a weird one for me.

Buddy you got that backwards, You have no clue about the Philippines.

Men run the country and men have the power.

For a Woman they are raised by the parents and obey the father, until she gets married then the husband takes over.

When I am in the Philippines I make all the calls, and make all the major decisions. Tha is what the woman are used to in Philippines and it is normal.

While in the Post Office (large metro area - not a remote Province) to purchase a stamp to send a letter to the U.S....... 5 ladies working behind the barred window, two were busy typing on actual typewriters that pre-dated IBM Selectrics.... Television set blaring some soap-opera type program that nobody seemed to be watching.... small dog chained to one of the desks barking.... 2 small children (both about 18 months old) crawling under the desks... one lady (standing behind the clerk who was waiting on me) waving at me to get my attention and offering a variety of small packaged snacks... and when I paid for the stamp with a P1000 bill, 3 of the gals had to open their purses to come up with the change.

Hey, but I got my stamp and my parents got the letter three weeks later!

Gotta love the Philippines!.... wonderful people (for the most part).... and endless number of beautiful beaches, dive sites & much more.

Our wedding pics with music...
