How do I know when our case is in the USCIS system

Hi,

Last week, my wife's AOS package was received at the Chicago Lockbox. I know this because I tracked the package. I'm wondering, how long will it take for USCIS to send us a confirmation letter??? Is there a quick way to find out if a case number has been assigned (via her A# perhaps)???

Check for cleared check, if you get the cashed check case number will be on the back.

It took our case about a week and a half to be entered into the system! Good Luck on everything!

It also took about 7 days from the day USPS delivered our package to the date we received our NOA1 in the mail ...

it takes about a week, and even though there will be a number on the back of your cashed checks, it might not be the correct number.
