All you can do is call DOS and check the status.... AP doesn't have a time frame...it's just one day at a time.... hopefully it won't be much longer for you. Hang in there.... you're almost finished ...at least this part of it.

What type of visa is this?

Administrative processing...it comes for background checks bfore a visa is issued..somtimes it takes days, or week, months or a year or two...depending on the checks having to be done

Its very frustrating bcos they give a time frame but it can easily go beyond what they say...we were told 45 days but im sure it will go far beyond that.

I wish there was a way to have these checks done in a way it doesnt take so long or at least if it goes beyond 3 months they need to tell us why not just its pending. All I can say is stay strong... and believe me i know its hard especially when all you want to do is something so stupid like hold hands... its very emotionally draining. Good luck...wish you hear something soon...
