So I called today...and talked to an nvc operator.. she told me that my case was received in the nvc office on june 27th.. but she doesnt have a case number to give me yet.. and she told me to wait 4-6 weeks for the case number.. :( does it really take 4-6 weeks more just for a case number???? this waiting is really killing me :(

typically a couple of weeks--the automated system will have it and THEN you call the operator to swap info

Oh wow.. so it does take about a couple of weeks.. shoot.. :( Ive already waited almost a month for it to get sent ugh..i think im just a little frustrated with all this waiting.. haha I just hope I get the number before I go to visit my husband in a few weeks so at least its started.

Depends on the case.....Mine was sent to NVC and I had my number within a week.....not sure what decides how fast it goes...or how slow...We waited 7 months for our NOA2 though....

wow! I waited 6 months for my noa2 so i hope i get my case number within a week like u did! That would be so nice! I just wish they would go just a tad bit faster! haha

Hey sash--

It goes very quickly now, and unless you forget some info or to sign a document, you will be the bottleneck just getting all the documents ready. Be sure to follow the instructions precisely, and you should be out of NVC within a month or two from the time you pay their fees if you submit everything immediately--but no screw ups allowed on your end !! OK ???

DO NOT send the 3032 thru the mail !! Once you are at the correct point, either scan it and send it electronically or use the template available on this site--you will typically get it approved in 1 - 3 days--less than 24 hours in our case, but only God knows how long it will take if you send it thru the mail. Don't listen to anyone or any guide that tells you otherwise, and don't email it and then turn around and mail the hardcopy.

Really !!!
