Hi all, please i would like to know if any one got reaffirmed by uscis recently and how long did it take NVC to send in the interview date?.

it means the reapproval of an approved I 130 that is returned to USCIS by the Consular Post with NOIR ( notice of intent to revoke ) following unsuccessful interview. Most common reason is " non bonafide marital relationship " alias fraud . When USCIS receives the NOIR from Consular Post , it can either " reaffirm "( meaning disagree with the finding of the consular post and therefore reaffirm its approval ) , conduct an investigation , or request for more evidence including an interview with the petitioner .

From what I have known from reading some posts, it should not take as long to have this back to the interviewing post . Definitely much shorter than returning the NOIR petition back to USCIS.

At this 2nd time interview, Consular post can not issue another NOIR with the same reasons as the 1st one . ie, if they want to cite non bonafide relationship , they must find entirely different reasons than the first one.

Reaffirmed cases are normally sent back to the consulate for another interview ( and more medicals and poluice certs if your expired ) and if they don't find anything new to deny for on the second interview they will issue a visa. Nigeria has been issuing a number of denials this month ( the parties aren't all posting this ) Don't assume a reaffirmed petition means an automatic approval. ( just be pleasantly suprised if the second interview is a piece of cake)
