hi. so i got copies of my son's birth certificate from NSO. i noticed on page 2, (the late registration part) the date written is january 2004 instead of 2005 (whoever typed it prolly forgot it was the new year already since my son was born on december 2004) so id like to know if its going to be an issue. my son wont be flying with me but it says on the ds-156k form that i have to attach the birth certificates of all the unmarried kids i listed.

i would really appreciate your input. thanks!

Just go to the city registrar where you registered your son's birth, present your case, it would take about 30 days to correct such mistake, especially it does not concern the actual birthdate of your son, just the registration.
