Thank you everyone again. I just want to go see her or for her to come here some how... The US economy is making this so difficult :( :( :(

I apologize in advance for being blunt, but you need a wake up call.

Seriously, if you can't afford a plane ticket to meet your fiancee ("meet your fiancee"... not something your hear very often :P ), how do you expect to support her? Or will your parents do that? Have you discussed this with them and they are willing?

You are 31 y/o and still supported by your parents and living in their home? And you want to bring a foreign wife into this picture? The train is coming, get off the tracks.

You should go meet this woman first, then take it from there. Chatting on a computer is not dating. You seem desperate. You need to learn how to be patient, especially since you will be starting your own visa journey, like the rest of us. Being with her will take time, there is no way you can be with her now.

Her family wants to pay for her ticket because they want her to marry an American thinking that she hit the jackpot and will send money back (same thing happens in my wife's country). Little do they know, she'll be living with her in-laws and being supported by them, so there won't be any money coming for a long while. Maybe they will be willing to pay (or help pay) for you to go there.

BTW-The chances of a 25 year old single woman from a poor country getting a tourist visa is slim to none, unless she has MAJOR reason to go back. And having a "boyfriend" in the US just pushed slim out of the window.

Good luck.

I just read some of the other replies after I wrote mine. I tend to agree with the others that this is probably a SCAM. Unless they think that she hit the jackpot (how could they think that if the guy can't even afford to come see her?), this is probably a girl who is playing the OP for a visa.

Okay, I think the OP can see from the :bonk: he is getting from everyone that he is certainly afoul of standard procedures and possibly has some financial issues and heads-in-the-clouds relationship issues, but that is not the point of the post. Outside of getting offline once in a while and not watching his fiancee sleep and get a second or a third job to be the future husband he wants to be, he is going to have nothing but an uphill battle. As for some "scam" claims others have raised, sure it is possible but we shouldn't speculate too harshly since he hasn't posted much to give any clues to that. To do so otherwise would just label all filipino girls as scammers and that is a slippery slope. Make sense, dude?

Just save some money to go to Phills and meet her in person. If everything goes well, then you may start thinking in a "possible marriage". Online chats is just the begining. Real love/life is the day to day relation with a person, near the person you love, everyday 24x7. Once you had experienced that, then you can make a decision of K1/CR1/ or just a simple good bye.............

My guess from similar cases it is to get her into the country and then she will disappear and go and live with other family members here.

Most likely its going to be ahhh this relation is not working out and she is going to move with some family member and disappear in sea of rest of illegals.

Or hold on until AOS or Pick a fight get him to over-react and call the cops so she can file VAWA....

Hey, I married my wife after a very short online courtship but I flew to the Philippines to do it and met not only her but the whole family, spent 3 weeks there and we were in daily contact before I got on the plane.

You can't really be sure of the existence of a relationship until you're physically together (not implying sex).

We both had our doubts until we saw that we were the same in person as online.

Yep I would agree with your, I had known my wife for over 5 years before we decided to get married and I had not even met online :) First time I ever met my wife was in Univ yet we decided to wait and see how things go between us.

Sometime I dont want to call it out on forum as some ppl might not take it in right way, but some of the ppl asking for help on the forum just seem desperate for wife.

They are not aware what all comes with wife........lol j/k (hoping my wife is not reading this ;) lol )

I agree with everyone that you should go there. You really need to meet her. To decide that she will come and not have met her and the discussion of marriage....Please dont hurry the process...do in the right way. If someone wants to be with you they will weather doing it the right way! Good luck and wishing you every happiness.

I agree.

To the OP,

If this girl is hurrying you to get married or come to the US as soon as possible, that should be a giant red flag that her only interest is coming to the US and not you. Like the quoted post says, somebody who really likes you (you can't say love since you have never met), they will be willing to wait for you. Also, if she (or her family) asks for any money upfront for anything, that's another huge red flag.
