Mine was approved on March 26th and I am still waiting, although they said that they would expedite any case involving Haiti. Talking about frustration, it is frustrating.

That is crazy.. Something is out of the oridnary with your case.. Have you called the NVC and asked to talk to someone? Do it now... 1-603-334-0700 ..

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

im sorry but i dont get the point of this post.NVC is as bad as USCIS? coming from a member who got to nvc within 3 months it makes zero sense.to get a reality check you might wanna check out some of the members on this site that are on their 7th or 8th month dealing with USCIS.i realize every day spent away from your loved one feels like ten years, but lets be logical and fair

The guides for being proactive and getting through the NVC stage all mention that it takes just a few days from USCIS NOA2 to NVC receive. That does not appear to be the case currently so it is good that someone is pointing that out so that people can set expectations. I'm sorry you had to wait seven months at USCIS but that has nothing to do with NVC processing slowing down. What would you have them do? Hold all the applications until they are seven months old so that it feels more fair?

an NVC AP takes about 2 weeks, when in fact USCIS often requests more time to do even more background checks on some beneficiaries that can take up to 6 months.and there are people right now who are going through that six months. till a couple of months ago it took CSC up 6 months full to go through cases,so no NVC is in no way, shape or form as bad as USCIS.not even comperable, dont get your panties up in a bunch just because they didnt process your case in a week or two

Take a breath.. Relax :)

I, and most of the readers of this thread, are aware of the USCIS process - it is in fact the one thing we all have in common. I'm not the OP of this thread and not overly concerned with the wait to get to NVC.. Not at this point anyway and I am very happy with my progression so far :) The "wait to NVC" is the stage of the process I am in so of course I want current information and that is where my (and everyone else recently approved) attention is focused.

I am not doing the K-1, I am doing the I-130 which means there are several hoops at the NVC stage. I can shave off as much as 2 months by monitoring it carefully .. You can understand why it is important to me.

The point on this post is because average time is 2 to 11 days, not months like USCIS! People got NOA2 in 5-6 months, and they have to wait 1,2 or 3 months to NVC RECEIVE a mail and forward to consulate?

I suggest to start preparing aaaall the neccessary documents while you're waiting at NVC. Find out which applications are needed (fill them out), contact the embassy in the whatever country, ask what documents are needed and start collecting (Some original documents must be sent to your fiance). That will take your mind off the case (first of all because it takes several weeks to a month to collect them) for a while and you will have most of your paperwork ready by the time you hear from the beneficiary's embassy, so then you can schedule an interview faster. Don't worry, time will fly.

Its been two weeks and NVC either doesn't have my paperwork or still hasn't processed it yet, but I don't understand, based on looking at the Timeline, how some cases go from USCIS to NVC to Embassy in one week and how some cases take a month. The inconsistency is very frustrating. Just curious if anyone from first two weeks of June is still waiting for NVC\Embassy info?

We also got our approval on the June 14 , 2011 but just like you, still waiting for response by them. Indeed it is very frustrating but any how congratulations for your approval.

I am honestly pissed as hell. I don't want to go political here but speaking as super liberal, pro-government person, I see why conservatives hate government. If this was a private corp, ###### would get done or heads would have rolled a long time ago. I work for a private firm and this type of inconsistency would not be tolerated. The firm would not survive, but government has no one to accountable to. They do as they please at their own snail pace. Sorry but this is bullshit. I see J1 students and others using the system just to get here but when people are doing things the right way with out breaking rules, they pay the price of big government bureaucracy. Very unfortunate!!!

alright, i am done ranting =))

Happy 4th of July everyone... Have a wonderful long weekend with plenty of rest and partying !!! USA USA USA !!!
