I haven't been on VJ in awhile because we've been busy preparing our travels for the medical and interview coming up!

I just wanted to say a big congratulations to the recent approvals! I can't wait to get this interview over and done with. I wasn't sure where to post my medical experience, so I posted it right on my profile if anyone would like to read it.

My husband and I met up in Montreal on Monday night (at 1 am!), I flew from Vancouver, Canada and he drove from Boston, MA. I had my medical the following Tuesday morning, we certainly did not get enough sleep because we sort of got lost after leaving YUL (Pierre Elliot) airport. After the medical, my husband and I drove to NY to visit my brother-in-law and his family and to wait until we can pick up the medical results on Friday (Aug. 12th). We had some problems driving back together from Montreal to NY. They told us to go into secondary inspection and gave us a lecture about immigration (not enough ties, etc, etc.) and the lady that we initially had was a total b*tch! The first thing she asked me was if I was pregnant in an insulting way as if that was the only reason we're married...then we had to deal with this guy who was an idiot, he asked me when was the last time I was in Canada before flying to Montreal; I said July of this year. He proceeded to correct me and said last year, and I kept saying, "no this year." My dates are very similar with last year and this year visiting my husband, but anyway, he kept explaining the same thing over and over about how it looks as if I'm not a visitor being in the states a lot....that really made me upset considering I was sleep deprived, had my medical so I felt a bit woosy and I was starving since we haven't had lunch. Then they had to cross reference the dates on my passport with the dates I told them...I said to them, "If I was trying to illegally immigrate, I wouldn't have returned home so often, nor visit so often within the last year.", and they just said, "ahh that's true."..The supervisor was really nice though, and he sort of apologized for pulling us into secondary inspection. Anyways, we are driving back to Montreal tomorrow and have our interview on Monday morning @ 8 am, but I assume most people just arrive early since it seems to be on a first come, first serve basis.

I just want to also wish Vjers with upcoming medicals/interviews/POE the best of luck!!!

Yeah, I know, I don't ever want to deal with a customs officer like that anymore, so unpleasant. I'm so happy to hear that everything went well with your interview and you already received your visa envelope! Good luck with POE, hope it goes smoothly! :)
