Received approval via email this morning. :dance: Email was sent overnight.

NOA 1 - May 5

NOA2 - September 11

Last Touch - July 28

129 Days

For anyone that may be wondering. I checked yes on the IMBRA RFE on the question about meeting on a "marriage broker" site on the internet. ZhangBei and I met on Match.com which I personally do not consider to be a "marriage broker" web site. I only did this because in my cover letter I had mentioned that we met on the internet and didn't want to take a chance on generating another RFE. The point being, checking yes to this question did not seem to cause any problems with an approval.

Anyway......on to the next part of the journey!

Meeting Online: Yahoo chartroom Aug 2001.

Direct meeting & marriage: Dec 2003 USA, NY

I-130 petition in DCFR Tokyo: March 14th 2004. Case reffered to DHS USCIS

Four visits to japan in 2004: Oct 2004, wife got pragnant.

Wife/Fiance left USA and moved into Japan: Feb 5th 2005.

Baby Born: June 24th 2005(Japan)

I-130 denied: July 17 2005(Divorce was declared not valid)

Refiling Divorce: oJuly 17th 2005 NY State.

Divorce granted: Nov 17th 2005

K-1 application: Mar 1st 2006

Approval: May 23rd 2006

US consulate RFE: June 15th 2006

FRE sent (Original passports, birth certificate, all origional docs): July 10th 2006

Medical: Oct 11th 2006.

Interview: Nov 10th 2006(expected)

Congratulations! :dance::dance::dance: I hope your trip through Guangzhou is faster and less stressful than the first part of the journey. I hope I can benefit from your experience there when my fiance and I pass through a couple of months later.

On a personal note:

- thanks for the information on the marriage broker question. I'd been wondering.

- thanks for updating your timeline right away. With so many approvals in a short time, the VJ estimates are becoming less useful. Accurate information is particularly useful for generating estimates that may help others.
