I am curious about this situation. I have noticed that not too many people or any at all have received their EAD after they were transferred to CSC. Now I know that in some circumstances they got transferred very early on in the process and it was easy to be approved before the EAD but we are almost up to our 90 day mark on the EAD and are still waiting for an approval. I'm just concerned that when your case gets transferred they kinda skip over your EAD and since there is a good chance that your GC can get approved very soon they just figure that you don't need the EAD. Does anyone know how this works?? I would still like my husband to get a job ASAP and I hope that our EAD will be approved very soon like the others who have been approved with a receipt date very close to ours. Our case could take a little while to get approved in California and he still needs a job! Does anyone else have this same question?? Or has anyone received an EAD after being transferred??

Don't worry, the EAD and AOS applications are processed separately. Getting your AOS transferred will have no effect on the EAD.

My husband got his EAD approved after his AOS was transferred to CSC back in May.

I filed the end of July 2005 for my second EAD and on October 1, 2005, my AOS was transferred to California. I too was very worried about what would happen with my EAD and my AP, and when I called and spoke with an immigration officer (requested to speak to one on the misinformation line), he said he didn't know if the file for the EAD and AP would be transferred as well or continued to be processed locally. My EAD and AP were finally approved early November - just outside of the 90 day processing time, and the return address on the envelopes for both was Lee's Summit, MO, so they did not transfer the EAD or the AP with the AOS. That was my experience, hope the information helps.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
