Hello All,

I have been trolling this site for a while and since I never seem to be able to get a direct answer to my questions... I decided to post. I hope I get some useful information.

Ok, so I came to the US in 2004 on F1 status. I fell out of status is March 2009. I got married in Nov 2009 in TN to my high school sweet heart from my home country who is currently active duty in US Army. We had a wedding for family in NY 4/10. I filed for AOS (I 130, G 325A, I485, I765 and medical) April 1st 2011 because the attorney's on post recommended that we do it that way...mail everything in together. I received NOA for I765 and I485 on May 5th; then I received Biometrics appt on May 17th for June 13th which I completed; I also received two separate letters asking for me to complete 1 page from the Affidavit of support from my husband which we mailed back the day we received and another asking for proof my husband was active duty which we mailed back within 3 days. I checked online on June 24th and it said my I765 had been approved and card production had been initiated.

Here is where I am confused. When I fell out of status I worked for about 5 months without authorization since I had a SSN. I was worried about that but I received EAD praise God!! Now I am waiting on my interview letter and GC. However, online it says that my I 130 is still in Initial Review and that my I 765 has been approved. Can anyone tell me, when should I be expecting my GC and also, do you think that it can be denied at this point?

Did you claim yourself to be USC on any of the employment form?

You had SSN, but it clearly says its not valid for employment, so your employer must have asked for some other form of document to show you were allowed to work, what kinda documentation did u provide to employer?

No I didn't say I was a USC. The owner of the company stated that it wouldn't be a problem that I did not have documentation. I did not want to do it however because I was a student and had loans I needed the $$ to start repaying. In the end, working there was too hostile and I became aware that there were a great deal of under handed things going on. I figured I would be in enough trouble and didn't want to be there when it all caught up to him. So I left the job.
