Spoke to Tier 2 Hope this helps someone

I spoke with a Tier 2 person at USCIS today. I am one who got a letter about background checks. Wait 180 days to inquire again. This is what she said. Everyone gets the same background checks. The hold up is that they can not get the information they need from the Country or place they are inquiring too or maybe one of the names got a hit on it like your spouse has the same name and birthday as a gun smuggler. She was very nice and told me that my petition is not lost. She said they are still just waiting on information on an inquiry.

Not sure this is much help, but I thought someone might be interested to know.

they told me the same thing when i called and i got congressman involved anyways cause if i had to wait 180 days i was moving to Albania and i needed to know what to do..got the rfe and then my background was magically done.. even though im still waiting for nvc i am glad im out of uscis bs..lol...did you get congressman involved yet..?? praying for you hun...
