Every embassy is different, so a quick call or email is appropriate unless someone here has been through your embassy recently and can give you the details.

How they schedule the interview--do they send you a package in the mail or email, can you pick it up in person, can you get the list of doctors so you can get your medical out of the way, is there anything they recommend you bring with you to affirm your relationship, etc, etc

For example, in Costa Rica we have it very easy. We got the medical done a couple of weeks ago, and we are still at NVC. They told us via email exactly what they will want when the interview is scheduled, and that they would contact my wife by phone to schedule the interview once they have everything from NVC--a very accommodating embassy for sure--I hope yours is as easy !!

some of these things are covered in each embassy info page, here at vj, accessible via the portal.

Click yer flag, read a bit, see what prior members have written? (it may be nothing is there, as well, so don't get surprised if no entries were made)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

The doctor will give you any vaccinations he thinks is appropriate--just bring plenty of cash with you

Hi, I am the petitioner. Just yesterday ( Aug 01) I called NVC and they told me that our petition is on the way to the embassy. Well, I went ahead, and emailed the embassy asking them to provide me update once our case reach their department, and they are quick to reply. They said that they have not received it yet but they already sent me an attachment letter(to be printed)which includes my fiance's name and case number, for my fiance to be eligible to have his medical exam. And also, they attached a checklist for appointment package(packet 4). I am just happy that there was a positive response from them although they have not received our case yet. I do believe that the embassy wants us to gather all the requirements before they even received our case and will set my fiance up for the interview. I am still continously praying and hoping for the good news.
