Having photos for I-129f package is nice but it counts as supporting eveidence, not primary. I wouldn't spend too much time trying to take care of the dates on the photos. On my photos it only showed the day and month - not the year! But I provided all other required docs and info and the main items proving we had met in person were my passport copies with info page and entry/exit stamps, airline boarding passes/stubs, hotel receipts and in my case since I was a dialysis patient at the time and paid for those treatments I had the hospital orders from the doctors and payment receipts for services on the hospital's paper. That by itself probably got us our approval (but of course you won't need anything like that!)

Everything else like photos, letters, e-mails, chat logs, etc are secondary and supporting evidences of the primary evidence for the I-129f petition. The secondary stuff is more valuable and counts for more in the interview.

God bless in getting your NOA2 soon and in the rest of your journey!

If you right click on the picture, then click properties, then click details you should see the time and date the picture was taken. Also some printer software has the option to print the time stamp automatically on the photo.

You can get the same info for all files in a folder by simply selecting "Details" from the "View" menu. Of course, this presumes you're using a Windows computer, the time and date were set correctly in your camera, and your computer didn't change the time and date when you copied the files over. You also have to take into account whether the time and date in your camera was the time and date where you live in the US, or the time and date in your fiancee's country. The file creation date on most of the photos I took in Vietnam are off by one day because of this. My camera has no way of knowing I was in a completely different time zone when I took the photos.

In the event your computer changed the time and date when you copied the files (i.e., the time and date reflect when the files were copied rather than when the photos were taken) you can still get the original time and date by bringing up the properties box, clicking on the "Summary" tag, and clicking the "Advanced" button. If the file is a JPG then this will show the EXIF photo info, presuming your camera records this info. Most digital cameras do.

Also, it's not necessary to have either the camera or printer print the date onto the photo, or that you attempt to make something that looks like an old-fashioned "film dated" photo. USCIS is well aware that everyone uses digital cameras now, and the request for "film dated" photos is one of many boilerplate RFE requests that's due to be updated. It's sufficient if you simply write the date on the back of the photo, along with a brief description of who, what, where, etc.

DHL is quick but way too expensive for her. My work schedule is also really hectic this week for me to find time to send her money. She'll use LBC to get it here. Still pricey but not nearly as much as DHL and it will still be here quickly.

LBC works, too. It looks like you're all set. Get ready to receive your approval soon! By the way, if you're fiance have not done so, get her to join the Pretty Ladies (VJ) on Face Book. Make sure you include VJ when searching in Face Book. It is a group of Filipinas going through or have gone through the same process and they provide great information specific to USEM and everything else your fiance will need to do.

Thanks everybody for all your help! Called USCIS and they confirmed that they need an original signature from my fiance  She is currently working on sending it via LBC (and DHL I guess too) to me asap. I'll go ahead and prepare my photos writing in who is who, date taken & location. Everything else seems straight forward. Finally some movement!!!!

Hi Everyone!

I just checked my status online also and it moved from Initial Review to RFE!! At first I was kind of nervous. I received my NOA on March 28th so I am anxious to see what I will need to send them. Hopefully the RFE gets here within the next few days and I can post what they requested.

Thos that have been approved, what has been the average time after receiving the RFE?

Thanks for your help!

Imelda
