What happens if you forget to call in to check if you're needed for jury duty? I just remembered I got summoned last month for some day in September but I can't remember which day-summons is at home. Now I'm worried that the date has passed!

Give them a call and write a letter explaining what happen and reschedule.

Just tell them you're prejudiced against all races, that'll get you out of it.

That's a good idea. I think I'll do that. Hopefully I'll go home and see that the date hasn't passed. My mom said they would issue a warrant for me! I don't want to be on the run from the law-hopefully following Peter Miami's suggestion, I could make it right.

they will also re sechdule you. that happend to me . they made me do it again..

I think I showed up late coz. I could not find the court house jury duty parking area

because, they gave really bad directions.

good. write it down. put it all over your place. fridge, doors. post it notes all over with that date and what it is for. it would be rather ironic if you forgot about it and you get a warrent for failing to do your civic duty.

I did jury duty a few months ago, was on a case for 3 days. I actually liked it. It's a very interesting experience, IMHO.

I'm one of a very few people that I know who actually doesn't get annoyed or irritated when summoned. I have no problem going and serving on a jury, if I'm picked to do so. I also don't know anyone who has ever actually been selected for a jury. Most often, the group number doesn't get called. That's what happened to me last time...

No point in worrying. If it's today or before it's too late to do anything (just call and explain your situation). If it's tomorrow or later you're fine.

whatever they ask you, the answer is always "GUILTY!" that should get you outta jury duty
