Hello,

My spouse (USC) filed the IR1 application for me with Embassy in London as we both live in UK now.

2 days later all paperwork sent back to us with blank credit card payment form.

Although there was NO explantion why, we presumed that cc didn't go through for some reason.

So we filled it out by using another cc information and sent all package back immediately.

It's been a week since but we haven't heard anything back from them.

My questions are:

1. What action can we expect next? i.e. any notice of acceptance will be sent by email/letter?

2. If so, how soon will it to be? (I have to apply for the police certificate where some kind of official proof is required in order to apply. So I need a proof as soon as possible!)

3. When can we expect the filing fee will be charged?

Thank you for your help!

1. Now you can expect to see the money removed from your account and then zero contact from USCIS for the next 5-6 months until the for you submitted them is approved.

2. See above. At the moment it takes an average of 5 months, but it does look like that is increasing to 6 months for the form to get approved and moved to the IV Unit. You will receive a letter with your case number on it once your I-130 has been approved. Then you move onto the next part of your process - Medical appointment, sending of DS-230, arranging interview, sorting out your other bits 'n bobs. But you do have a bit of a wait before any of that.

3. It should've been within a day or two of you sending the form back, I'd call the USCIS if I were you and enquire about what's going on.

Zero contact from USCIS!!

When I applied my visas back in the US, I always got the proof with some kinf of number...

Also thank you for the information about the money. I will keep checking my cc account and will call them if it takes more than 2 weeks.

Good luck with your interview!!!
