Hi,

I'm getting nervous, but I think I'm as prepared as I can be.

- all my ID is ready

- all my tax forms, proof of life documents etc. are ready

- I've practiced the questions - I still get mixed up on a few

- My clothes are ready to go - I'm wearing a work logo shirt because I have to go to a meeting tomorrow night

- Hubby isn't going

Any suggestions?

Heading Home!

If you traveled overseas since submitting your N400, make sure (if asked) to mention them. I just read that in a recent post.

Besides that, I truly wish you the best!

If you have enough time try to review N400 form f u have one.get enough rest a day before your interview.and i can recommend you 6 hours before, try to review all the Notes (Q&A)and Play CD review at the same time that will work.get some rest to make your mind cool. take a shower have your meal.Packed all your documents then ready to go.When you get at the USCIS Office Just relax keep yourself calm while waiting your name to be called. Goodluck.

Stepdaughter dressed very relaxed in that long drive over. Pulled in front of Macy's at the Mall of America where I knew they had a womens rest room right inside the door where she changed into dress clothes. After her interview, had to drive her back there so she could be relaxed again. You may want to do the same thing if your logo shirt makes you feel uncomfortable and nervous.

Good luck is getting an IO that is nice and makes you feel relaxed and hopefully one that speaks fluent English. We had one of those during our AOS, but I don't get nervous anyway, That IO was sweet. During the citizenship interview, both my wife and daughter weren't so fortunate, spoke such poor English they had problems understanding them. These were apparently immigrants themselves and would think they would show compassion toward their fellow immigrants. But, exactly the opposite was true.

My wife is a very tactful person, passed her interview, but her application was misplaced, call to the senators office. Stepdaughter is more of the typical hot headed Latin American kind of gal, can only wonder what went on in there, she got a decision cannot be make at this time, another call to my senators office. Both commented on going over that N-400 application, keep your answers short and to the point. You don't want to be over confident, but can't be shaky like a leave either.

Read posts here where the IO didn't want to see all or any of your original evidence, didn't happen with my wife, stepdaughter didn't have nor need anything with the five year. Both commented the English and civics test that one would think was the most important part, lasted less than two minutes.

Good luck is also not running into blocked roads due to weather or accidents. So good luck in getting there and getting a decent IO, the rest is up to you.

You have whats basically needed. Don't worry too much. There's really nothing to it and remember the most difficult part of this journey was the initial AOS. N-400 is the least amount of evidence demanded. My interviewer didn't ask for a single document from me. I was so dissapointed since I spent time collecting them. So relax and you will do great tomorrow. This is the easiest part. Good luck.

You're good to go! Better have a very valid reason why hubby isn't there in case they ask you. GOODLUCK!

The US spouse is not required for the citizenship interview - no reason is required, even if he's at home busy picking his nose on the couch watching cartoons :)

Daisy - You are as prepared as you can be. You will do just fine ! Try to focus on things that are within your control ! Block out and push out thoughts of things that are out of your control. Deep breathes and focus your mind on calmness, when anxiety and nervousness creeps in !

Hope my 2 cents offer you some comfort !
