LPR daughter trying to petition her husband. help!

I am back.

So my daughter has been here in the US for about 8 months now. After a few months, she came back to the Philippines to marry her boyfriend. Question is, does she need to change her last name first before she can file the petition for her husband?

No, she does not need to change her name to petition for her husband.

If she does change her name, she needs to provide proof. If she is changing her last name to that of her husband, the marriage license should be sufficient proof of the name change.

It will take 3-4 years for your daughter to petition for her husband. She needs to maintain her green card (legal permanent residency) by living in the US. She cannot stay in the Philippines to wait for her husband to get an immigration visa.

No it's not. Only US citizens can petition for a fiancee. An LPR cannot petition for a fiancee.

@ Jojo92122 : So she can just go ahead and file the petition without her changing her last name to her husband's? From the info she got from the Social Security Office, she was told to change her last name by filing I90( to get a new green card with her husband's last name.) and then update her last name for her social security as well.
