Hey, just wanted to pass on some info. My wife and I filed her I-130 on July 20th, at the US Embassy in Seoul. 2 weeks ago they told me that the soonest my wife would be able to get her Immigrant VISA was December. I didn't like that, so I went to go see Sen John McCain's people and now my wife has her Immigrant VISA. Once The Embassy recieved the email from John McCain's people they set up her appointment for her Immigrant VISA on the 9th of September and she got her Immigrant VISA!

Goes to show that some senators do care and will help you out. Especially if you did a DCF.

06/28/2006 - Commander signed Form 80 allowing me to marry my wife.

06/29/2006 - Got married in Seoul, turned in marriage certificate to the ACS office at Embassy.

07/20/2006 - Turned in I-130 and all documents to the Consular Office at the Embassy.

08/23/2006 - Korean Emabssy tells my wife it will be 3 months before they can interview her.

08/24/2006 - Contacted John McCain's office

09/03/2006 - Korean Embassy contacts my wife and tell her she has her final interview on the 10th of September

09/24/2006 - Wife enters the US as a Permanent Resident

08/07/2008 - Sent Wife's I-751 Paperwork to remove Conditional Residence

10/14/2008 - Did Wife's Bio-metrics at San Antonio USCIS office

Great news, Rick! Hopefully everyone is happy now. :)

Did you ever find out anything about why the I-130 was sent to the US? Or was that a misunderstanding?

Yeah they never sent it, it was just sitting there. I found that out from John McCain's people. Who got mad, and hence my wife getting her VISA :)

It pays to get Congressmen involved sometimes

Thanks for the congrats
