On TN Visa, Getting Married - want to change jobs

I am here on a TN Visa and am getting married to a US citizen next week. We intend to file for spousal sponsorship for permanent residency. My questions are

- Can I resign from my job after or before filing once we are married (I do not have another job yet)

- My 17 year old daughter has a TD Visa but has returned to Canada to work for the summer - does she need to return to the US before we file so that she is in the country? This will be her last year of high school and we don't want to mess it up.

1. if you wish to quit after marriage, you need to wait until you get EAD. Alternately, postpone the wedding till you have a new offer, quit then and go across to Canada to get a new TN-1 and then do the wedding
2. No; you can do "follow-to-join" derivative GC for her (best option) which will eventually go to Montreal

You are here now, so you can file for AOS. You can quit your job whenever you want, though it is most advisable to do so after filing your AOS to avoid out-of-status days.

quite difficult to prove, especially since many TN-1's convert to H1-b after entering. With labour-cert processes, USCIS can only prove immigrant intent after I-485 is filed (if the holder decides CPIV @ Montreal, no way possible for USCIS to prove)--I speak from actual experience.
