I might drive over to see a friend in Oregon on my way over. On the way back we will probably land in Portland. Then we might drive to the coast and see places like Sea Lion caves. I was thinking Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood, but the climate change between the Philippines and Mount Hood at 6000 feet in late November would be too much.

I have actually been thinking about this... I thought it would be a lot of fun if I drove up to NY (that is where JFK is right?) and picked him up from the airport there and we drove back home (SC). We could spend a few days in NY and then just have fun seeing the sights on the way back home.

You think that might be too much after an overnight flight?

yes! Way too much driving & traffic in NYC.

I know when I fly to the Philippines I am ready to do things right away. My first day there, we got to the hotel room, later I met her family and treated them to Dinner at Jacks Ridge. We walked around the park area of Jacks Ridge until about 10:00 getting to know each other in the physical sense. We had chatted on line every day between 4-7 hours. The next few days we ran errands as we got ready to go to Boracay.

sounds rediculous but...

we are going to Ikea! ha...

Chris arrives in Atlanta and we are heading over to Ikea to pick up a set of drawers for our bed room.

Totally unromantic but preplaned...I was also told TWICE now...that this is not a shopping excursion, we are to go in, buy what we came for, and leave! :crying: I love Ikea.

However the next day we are headed out of town for a weekend wedding. Full of hiking and drinking and eating in the mountains so I am sure it will be beautiful.
