USCIS received our RFE response May 27th but we haven't heard back yet. Just wondering if it's actually a full 60 days before we hear again? I am trying to plan my return flight to Vancouver - thinking I should be safe to go back the first week in September but need to change my current ticket ASAP. How long did it take you to get your NOA2 after they received your RFE info?

Thanks. :luv:

I'm wondering the same things. We got an RFE notification by e-mail but no official letter yet. We're just going to send it off asap. I hope it doesn't take too long to get that NOA2 and I'm curious to see the responses you get here.

We sent an RFE response June 14th and received the NOA2 in the mail today (June 24th)! From what I've read here it seems to only be a few weeks in most cases. It probably varies depending on what information they are looking for? My understanding is that they review it as soon as they have the info.

I hope you hear back soon! Good luck!!

:crying: i had the same concern. we sent our rfe response 6 days already but still on the website it says request for evidence...oh why oh why

In our case the website didn't change either and we didn't get an email or text like we did when the NOA1 and RFE were issued. The NOA2 simply arrived in the mail. I checked again last night and it still shows 'evidence being reviewed'. Perhaps they don't rush to update that site once the decision is made and the noa2 is sent? Strange and frustrating I know.

I hope you hear something soon... good luck!!

That was quick... makes me worry a bit. Going to keep my fingers crossed and not panic unless we get to the 60 day period.

In some cases, it can take the full sixty days or longer. Take us, for example:

- April 18: Received e-mail notice of RFE

- April 20: Received hardcopy notice. They wanted (1) passport photo of myself. I already sent (2) of myself with the original application.

- April 20: I sent back the photos.

- April 22: Received and signed for (USPS notification) at VSC

- May 2: VSC confirms via e-mail that they have received and are processing RFE response

Tomorrow is June 26. We have not received NOA2 yet. That means I better here something this week if they are to meet their sixty day notice rule. I am crossing my fingers but not holding my breath. I have read of some people taking 3 months after sending in RFE response. Of course, some get approved within 2-3 weeks. It just depends.

Our case got approved 3 business days after they received the RFE response. I didn't really know how the heck it happened, but it might be a case to case basis. When I got the RFE, it stated that I need to submit them proof that me and my fiancee met within the last 2 years. Heck I sent them our boarding passes when we went to Boracay and Cebu last July 2010. They asked me to send them a copy of my fiancee's passport and that's about it. I hope you'll hear from them soon. Good luck!

It's not fair that some get it a few days after and some, like you (and us) are waiting so long. Although we are still in Japan and will be until the end of July and my ticket back to Vancouver isn't until Sept 15th so we are not in a rush, it's just hard when I'm not there to get the mail and wait every day for a message from the future inlaws saying it has arrived. And then hope that the embassy sends what they need to before or after my mom leaves on a month long vacation and no one will be there to receive the mail regularily. Ugh! Oh well, guess I have to keep practicing patience and ZEN!

My fingers are crossed for you. Keep us posted! :luv:

It seems that the NOA2 after an RFE is often around 2-3 weeks. As far as the status updates go..... very unreliable. Hopefully you don't have to wait too much longer.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .
