Just putting what I see in terms of State/Representative government. These people are elected by voters. You guys took care of the libs/conservative dichotomy that gets the discussion nowhere but in the 'tard' direction.

blah blah blah. Weed's been legal here since the mid 70's, the Alman Brothers and the Greatful Dead is still where it's at up here, and the rest of the US can go suck a big one. Yes gays have been beaten up here, and no...the perps were never brought to justice and if it happened again it would most likely be the same result. Call it the "Northern Skynyrd Dillema" if you will. But it's how we roll up here in the last frontier. B-)

Now I'm off to get another can of bud, take a toke, and then kick the ####### out of some ultra lib do goody, and praise George Wallace right afterwards!

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I doubt that the entire population is reflected in liberalism. Modernism and hedonism aren't twins.

It's because people there actually work for a living rather than sit around and think about how to shame others into being as they prefer them to be.

People work for a living everywhere. It seems you're resorting to more false logic here.

Again, we can go on what we think constitutes the population's thinking, or go by who they vote for en masse.

I mean really work, work with their hands, hard, physical labor, not just sitting in front of a computer most of the day, then go to Starbucks for a latte afterwards. Blue collar people still tend to be far more conservative than white collars, and blue collars outnumber white collars there.

Can we get 14.3 trillion dollars for it? They don't have THAT much oil.

Maybe we can sell it to Israel for a new Jewish state.

Sell it to Israel so Israel can buy it with US tax payers dollars? HA HA...####### are you on? The only money Israel has it what the US gives it. They can't even afford the air they breathe their so broke...we buy that for them also. If it wasn't for US tax dollars paid from hard working US citizens there would be no Israel. We pay for everthing there...planes, tanks, ...you name it

Hmmm. Outside of Alaska, this kind of work must not exist. "work with their hands, hard, physical labor,"

Discuss, congratulations to the winners. To the losers, now you have something new to whine about.

About time I bump post #1 to put things in perspective.

Try not to be ignorant for once. Again it's oil, fishing, logging, and mining that makes this state and keeps it alive hence the reason the males out number the females up here. You think that work is done up here by people like you in -60 weather ? Get real for once.

I didn't say that's exclusive to Alaska, but people who do hard, physical labor aren't a large segment of gay marriage supporters.

I'm not a loser. I don't live in NY.

Time to bring the topic back. I know someone that doesn't support gay marriage is a loser in this case.

But the times are changing. It must suck to be so anchored to logic that does not affect one's life and swear it does.

Id have to choose to do that kind of work. I choose not to. Fair enough? Of course not- the idea of your participation here is to merely antagonize, no matter how illogical your references are.

I would say that's the pot calling the kettle black.

Come on, ZO. Be honest enough to admit that you don't hesitate to antagonize, too, champ.

The only money Israel has it what the US gives it. They can't even afford the air they breathe their so broke...

Keep showing your ignorance. What we give them is peanuts relative to the size of their economy.

An economy which, unlike ours, has a strengthening currency and annual GDP growth of 4.5% (2010).

Read up on it.

"As of 2010, Israel has the 24th largest economy in the world, and ranks 15th among 169 world nations on the UN's Human Development Index, which places it in the category of "Very Highly Developed". Israel's economy also ranks 17th among the world's most economically developed nations, according to IMD's World Competitiveness Yearbook rankings. The Israeli economy was ranked as the world's most durable economy in the face of crises, and was also ranked first in the rate research and development center investments.

The Bank of Israel was ranked first among central banks for its efficient functioning, up from the 8th place in 2009. Israel was ranked first also in its supply of skilled manpower.

Israeli companies, particularly in the high-tech area, have enjoyed considerable success raising money on Wall Street and other world financial markets; As of 2010 Israel ranked second among foreign countries in the number of its companies listed on U.S. stock exchanges."
