Ah, isn't that how the libs want all state election eligibility to be handled?

:lol::thumbs:

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Seems like reform is in order. Think about what that says about the system you have and the officials your current electorate votes for. I doubt most of them pack up and leave to go elsewhere, as there would be telltale travel records showing yearly mass migrations.

Funny. Isn't voter disenfranchisement a GOP specialty?

It's not disenfranchisement to have to prove you are who you say you are and live where you say you live.

Which is why making generalized comments about libs and how 'they' want voter registration to commence is pretty lame and specifically, untruthful.

Lets review again the comments in this thread made by the Alaskans about how corrupt, criminal, and commonplace is Alaskan electoral practice. Then think about what political party usually commands the vote up there... hint: its not usually the one with the donkey.

But as to the theme of proving residence- by all means. And again, who exactly is in charge of ensuring voters are who they say they are and are eligible to vote? Hint: its not usually the ones represented by a donkey.

Alaska is a State of the United States, where Federal election laws apply.

Like Andrew Jackson once said about the Supreme Court decision in Worcester v. Georgia, "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!" Then, he went on to do as he pleased in defiance of the law. Marijuana was legal there long ago, in defiance of federal law. Alaskans are not much for enforcing a lot of laws. It's pretty laid back there.

You should just find Jesus and pray global warming is true. Then in a couple decades when Alaska finally thaws, the state will be the size of a postage stamp. Hippie problem solved.

But we are the RICHEST state in the union. In fact this state put over 3.2 billion dollars in the bank from last years profits alone. We already had billions of dollars in the bank before that. This state is filthy rich...so rich that it gives each and every resident a big fat check every year...every man, woman, and child gets one of those checks.

I would say that most Alaskans are libertarian, not GOP.

Fine and dandy by me. They should not complain as voters, from wherever, change their attitudes to reflect more modern, less bigoted, ways to approach the entire gamut of the population.

By then, NYC, DC and LA will be underwater. Liberal problem solved.

Just putting what I see in terms of State/Representative government. These people are elected by voters. You guys took care of the libs/conservative dichotomy that gets the discussion nowhere but in the 'tard' direction.

The thing is, the vote can go according to the part-timers, but the attitudes and habits of the people who live there won't change. The state is untamable.

It may change at a slower pace. It probably comes with the attitudes there being so hard headed, or using other words- unreachable in terms of logic and acceptance of differences.

Can we sell it back to Russia and pay off our debt?

And the democratic process.

Can we sell it back to Russia and pay off our debt?

Because it is 'the RICHEST' state in the union, we could get so much money for it!

Yeah... I don't think so on both of those accounts.

I doubt that the entire population is reflected in liberalism. Modernism and hedonism aren't twins.

It's because people there actually work for a living rather than sit around and think about how to shame others into being as they prefer them to be.
