Just tried to upload my passport pic onto the department of states website, for the whole DS 160 upload process. I tested the photo on the website and it said the photo did not meet the image quality standards. It was a color JPEG passport pic like they asked, anyway I Can just bring a extra pic to the interview? or does it have to be uploaded on here, not sure how to increase the quality of the pic?

Hi, I am definitely not a techie person and ran into the same problem. I taped a photo onto my applicaton and will be bringing the required number of photos to the interview. My packet was accepted without any problems. Just make sure you print a copy of the DS160 along with the confirmation page.

Good luck

Hmmm, I'm wondering if its the size of my pictures? When I went into walmart to get them done the lady working there asked why I needed 5 and when I told her it was for a US visa she said " oh those are a bit different in size" so she pulled out her book and said they are a bit smaller then the standard 2x2 passport pics???? so I have these that are 1.5 x 1.5 ish
