I don't disagree. But there are fundamental differences between a parent and a boss - trying to make those differences go away through relativisation is dishonest.

If you screw a subordinate in the workplace you can generally expect to be fired (or at the least - be subject to some sort of disciplinary action). The only time it goes beyond that is if the person you screw is underage (then consent doesn't matter) or if they are placed in the situation under duress (there is no consent).

If you have sex with your child - it is highly likely that you would be a pedophile. You simply don't arrive at a place where you can rationalise having sex with your child (even an adult child) without there being some pretty dodgy psychology there to begin with.

mmmm - Barney Frank just introduced a bill legalizing the growing of cannabis. Would that make Mr. Frank relevant to you now, or no ?

Mr. Frank has his fingers in lots of different pies - up until very recently, he was the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, as well - so he has some relevance to you, in some fashion, yes? I know he does, to me, because of his membership on this committee, not his sexual orientation.

I'm not a Barney Frank Supporter, no no, but I do note his existence in the mainstream as a legislator. If his bill passes, I'll become his #2 fan (I've some fallow land that needs new crop)
