Guys,

It has been almost 5 months since i filed I-130 for my wife. First it was transferred to NBC and now to USCIS local office for a month now. The status still shows initial review. This sux. I also wrote my senator a letter to get help. Does anyone has this experience or if i am the lucky one. Please advise..

02/07/2011 I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

02/22/2011 Priority date

02/24/2011 Received hard copy of NOA1 in mail

06/11/2011 I-130 transferred to USCIS office

09/02/2011 RFE

09/13/2011 RFE docs delivered to local office

09/29/2011 Additional RFE package delivered

10/11/2011 Senator's office informed APPROVED

11/05/2011 NOA2 in snail mail.....forgot about it...

NVC

10/24/2011 case recieved

11/18/2011 Case # assigned..

11/21/2011 AOS fee paid online & DS-3032 sent through email

11/23/2011 Agent of choice through email accepted. Paid IV fee online..

11/25/2011 Both fees show "paid". Sent AOS & IV in one package...

11/28/2011 AOS & IV packets delivered.../letter rcvd-Expedite request denied..huh..

12/02/2011 RFE on phone for AOS section 25..

12/03/2011 Revised I-864 sent..

12/09/2011 Case complete.

01/26/2012 Medical done..

02/07/2012 Interview done but temp denied.. green 221g

A Hard wait begins...Plz God help....

Most cases are taking from 5-7 months from what i've seen on timelines. We got our i 130 expedited but we still had gone thru 4 months...before getting to NVC...

03/24/2011 i 130 approved!!!

03/30/2011 NVC received case-04/07/2011 NVC Case Number Assigned
05/03/2011 CASE COMPLETE- In Que for INTERVIEW!!-05/17/2011 Received interview letter and info via email
EMBASSY JOURNEY
05/20/2011 Medical Appt/passed
06/15/2011 Interview result AP
06/21/2011 Submitted requested docs..under review
07/25/2011 CO called did phone interview result: PENDING MANDATORY AP/CO told us they have to do namechecks

03/07/2013 Case returned to USCIS waiting for NOIR/reaffirmation

04/18/2013 USCIS received case for review

08/19/2013 Received NOIR to respond by 9/18/2013

9/9/2013 Responded to NOIR/USCIS received documents awaiting response

9/20/2013 USCIS reaffirmed sent to embassy

1/04/14 Case opened for review

8/31/15 Interview- no questions visa approved on the spot

9/8/15 visa status issued

9/10/15 visa received

Transferred to local office implies a face to face meeting with the Petitioner and the local USCIS staff. Usually, they will schedule it with you, send out a form letter about the interview.

If it's been more than 2 months since notice of transfer, set up an InfoPass meeting at the local USCIS office, go and inquire what's going on for setting up the local meeting.

Case transfers take time, sorry, queues abound. Yer in a new and different queue.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
