I-134 Question

YuAndDan, Fruto has gotten the answer he was looking for directly from the consulate in Rio - it is advisable to comply with the rules the consulates/embassies have. For example, 100% about the poverty guidelines should be enough for I-134; however, Rio asks for 125%.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

fruto,

I would not be surprised if your question was answered by someone whose job it is to answer questions, not someone whose job involves evaluating the public charge issue. Such person would quite naturally have been trained to answer the question 'do I have to answer all questions' with 'yes, you have to answer all questions'.

I do agree with answering 'N/A' anywhere that you do not wish to provide information rather than leaving the question blank - it's the polite way of saying, 'I saw the question and it's none of your business'. Entering a '0' (zero) is even more polite and perhaps less inviting of follow-up questions.

Hey guys,

I just receive a reply from the embassy. Question 7 is almost embassy specific.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I am preparing the I-134 form for this K1 visa and have a question regarding question 7. If my annual income is way over the 2006 poverty guideline. Do I still need to write down my saving in a saving account and provide evidence and my real estate value and mortgage and life insurance?

YES

If I don't have life insurance or other personal property, should I just leave that field blank or I need to put "NONE" or "N/A"?

YOU HAVE TO WRITE N/A.
