getting ready for the i-134

hi!

the time has come for me to fill out my i-134 for my husband; does anyone have any advice? i plan to furnish a letter of employment from my company, a letter from my bank, my three most recent tax returns, pay stubs and bank statements. my question is this: i've rarely kept a high balance in my bank account--i'm well above the minimum, but i don't have much in the bank. how would you recommend i deal with that? given that i'm gainfully employed, is that something i really need to worry about?

i feel like we're in the home stretch and i don't want to mess it up. any advice is heartily appreciated.

by 'above the minimum,' i mean that with my job i earn well above the poverty line--i just don't have the assets in the bank to show for it.

If am not mistaken they look at assets after your income, so if your income is sufficient then assets don't matter too much, and i believe the assets are calculated differently then income. please read the guides section for more info

I agree with Afiz....we had our interview yesterday and we had no problem at all (and my husband even needed a co sponsor). The co sponsor and Mike didn't include and banks statement (they only wrote it down that's it, no letter from the bank), no emplyment letter for the co sponsor...we did everything with only the last year of taxes. But that depends on the Consulate...Naples only requires only a year of taxes (the last year).
