Hello everyone B-)

My fiancee is collecting the supporting documentation for the Affidavit of Support I-134. He works for a big american automobile company and they told him that nowadaws all they can do is to provide a sort of "statement" of verification of employment, but there's no way to get a "real letter" signed and dated from his supervisor/boss.

Would that work anyway?

The company that I work for has a website that employees go and we can print letters of verification. One of the letter is for "visa purpose". That letter has the salary for the past 7 years, how long we are with the company, and position/title. Maybe your company provides the same?

The company is not operated by the company the company I work for. I think it is for a bunch of companies. All you need to do is to type in the name of your company. If you are interested on the website, send me a pm. Maybe who knows your company participate on that website.

  • Met on yahoo chat through a friend.
  • April 2010 - Decided to meet in person
  • 06.01.2010 - She flew from Dubai to Philippines for vacationing
  • 06.21.2010 - We met in Philippines
  • 06.24.2010 - Engaged

  • 02.14.2011 - NOA2 Approved on St. Valentine day!!!!!!!
  • 02.17.2011 - Packet left from NVC to ABU DHABI (Dubai)
  • 02.19.2011 - NOA2 hard copy received
  • 02.22.2011 - Packet reached ABU DHABI's consulate
  • 03.02.2011 - packet 3 & 4 received by email
  • 03.02.2011 - Confirmation of Interview on 04.14.2011 -
  • 03.07.2011 - Fiancee passed medical exam.
  • 04.14.2011 - K1-Visa Approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • 04.21.2011 - Picked up Visa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So...sorry for the rant but I'm kind of getting frustrated and pissed over here >_<

Talked to my fiancè today. Yesterday he checked on his account to get the so called "automatic verification of employment" and seems like there's some sort of miscommunication between benefits records and whoever is upgrading that website, since it shows there that my fiance's ex-wife is still depending on him. Of course he has been legally devorced for three years now and benefits record confirmed that he's listed as a "single male" to their softwares.

- Grr! >_< -

So he went in at Human Resources this morning and not only they said they have NO IDEA of why his exwife still appears as depending from him, but they also said they are not allowed to deliver verifications of employment cause they don't have permit to access to employers records. >_<

What they CAN do when a third party requires a verification of employment (they said) is to print a sheet of paper with a link to a website containing all the information about "the person".

...Now...

We know well that this is going to be a huge issues at the interview. I really can't see how such a big automobile company canNOT provide something so stoopid as a verification of employment letter >_<

This is so frustrating :(

Anyone got ideas? Thanks everyone for listening to my rants...lol
