Just for clarification i heard that you are made to fill out another DS-230 at the consulate interview, so it is best to came with one already prepared. Is this true? If so this here is the document in question? http://travel.state....pdf/DS-0230.pdf

If you're applying for an IR-1/CR-1 visa and completed the DS-260, then yes, you're made to fill out the DS-230 at the consulate since Montreal isn't used to the new online system. I'd definitely, highly suggest you pre-fill out the DS-230 ahead of the interview to save lots of time.

And yes, that's the DS-230. Make sure everything is filled out by the beneficiary. And only sign part 1!! Part 2 is signed at the interview, in front of the officer.
