Hello Everyone,

I'm wanting to relocate to the US and get some work indefinitely in the fitness industry. I'm a qualified fitness specialist/ personal trainer and would relocate to any area of the country for the opportunity. I've tried a few websites and recruitment agencies but they are all the same. Im a former professional athlete as well and would welcome any opportunity to work in the US in this industry. Hoping someone out there can point me in the right direction. I've found that some franchise based gym's don't sponsor such employees so I'm looking for any avenue to take to get it sorted. I'm ready to go and would relocate once everything was approved.

Hope any of you can help.

Cheers,

Have you tried the cruise ships? If you are single, it is a great way to start. they hire many foreign nationals especially if you know or are willing to learn a foreign language. Royal Carbinean and Carnival. YOu always have a place to live on the ship. they do contracts of 6, 7 or 8 months. then time off till next contract. Look online and they will have section for employment.

You can't work in the US unless you are sponsored by a company or have a degree in a certain field. Being a personal trainer wont do it for you as it is not a degree, I know all this as I looked into it for my daughter and she can't work in the US .NO degree no sponsorship no working in USA.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

This is, unfortunately, true.
