Thanks for all of the useful tidbits in the forums, some of you are so kind to share your knowledge and experience. I am just beginning the K-1 process and searched for the answer to a particular question without success. If someone can answer or refer me to a similar post, I would be most grateful.

I am a U.S. citizen planning to bring my foreign fiancee over using the I-129F petition. She holds a passport from an African country, but Switzerland has been her home for the past 12 years. She is now in the final stages of applying for Swiss citizenship and hopes to have her new status by June. My question is: Should I go ahead and submit the petition now before she becomes a Swiss national or would USCIS continue the processing of the K-1 visa? I think I already know the answer, but hope I'm wrong. You all have probably felt impatient to get moving on the paperwork, especially when it takes so long. Thanks in advance and best of luck to everyone going through this.
