Thanks luckytxn, very informative.

Anytime at all and good luck and God bless. I am sure you will do fine.good.gif

I have done a psyche test a few times but has been many years since the last time so they may be different now but will just say that they are pretty easy. Usually they just give tests like a moral test that says different scenarios and what you would do as a reaction. They give some choices and you choose one. Of course as an example and I am sure you know this but they ask on the test what you would do if you saw something illegal. Of course you will not choose the one that says to ignore or join in but choose the one where you would report the infraction. I am sure you will know about what they are looking for from the answers they give you. Simple really. A couple of times a long time ago they did have us see a real Psychologist. One of the times he gave me the stupid ink blot test. The ink blot test is easy as just say each one is something normal like a bird, amoeba or such as that. Don't say it looks like anything violent or sexual like that. (Even though it may look it to you or I) Also he did go over scenes and what would you do if such and such happened. Did have to give a quick life overview such as family and divorce and stuff like that and he brought up a few things but over all the game is to be calm and not stress and answer all questions. They seem to like if you think over some questions before answering a little but not too long and some questions are a quick answer. Politics were never brought up at all thank God for me but who knows nowadays. They are looking for well adjusted attitudes with achievable goals. Hopefully some who have gone through it in the last decade or two can help out more on what they look for. Pretty sure they are still looking at people who are on an even keel.

For any interviews of course the code words they like are "team work" but can if needed work problems out "alone". When I used to have to interview prospects I also expected these responses.

Wanted to add. What they were looking for outside of you being a decent person was drug usage and extent. They also seemed to be looking to see if one is violent. I remember the majority of the questioning they asking what you would do if someone came at you aggressively or got in your space or things along that line. They wanted to see if you would fight or hit that person and see to what extent you were prone to violence.

I was a pot smoker way back then and knew they would question me on it so I learned to remain calm when the questioning was going along that line and not show deception when I of course said I did not use drugs. When they were trying to find my line I would smack the other person under different scenarios I would say pretty much I would never do it at all.

This was a while back and the new world order may have them looking for other things now.

For hubbie it took 3.5 months or so to obtain it. No biggie. However hubbie has a coworker whose wife is Russian and it took 14 months to obtain it. So.... I guess it depends on how cooperative the spouse's homecountry is/ well organized the information necessary is back in the homecountry.

DH as TS. Not as big of a deal as you'd think. Some interviewers will come to interview family and friends and then the standard FBI background checks for immediate family. LIke I said, less than 4 months and it's done.

I did some more research. Obtaining a S clearance is less difficult than the TS clearance. I will be needing the TS, and not the lower level one. I should've asked that initially.

i figured out that from your op. s clearance is just a records check locally and nationally.

I can't say what I have but they never talked to my GC wife or her family. Just don't lie and you'll be fine.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
